Who needs to take this course?

This course is for Florida residents and visitors born after January 1, 1988, who do not already have a valid boating education certificate but wish to rent or navigate a boat or jet ski on Florida waters.

The temporary boaters license is valid for 90 days and costs $9.99. It could be used anywhere in the state of Florida whether you are renting a jet ski or enjoying the day with family or friends on a privately owned boat or jet ski.

Pass the online exam

Use the study guide or you could go straight to the test where you will need to complete the 25 question online exam with a passing grade of at least a 76%. You will have unlimited retries.

Congratulations!

After successfully passing the online exam you will be able to print or take a screenshot of the temporary boater's license. The Temporary Boater's License will also be emailed to you.
